SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The Instrument Control and Monitor System enhances the administration of
a research or analytical facility. Any research instrument can be
included in the control network.

Users perform their own scheduling within parameters determined by the
facility administrator.

Individual passwords are used to assure scheduling accuracy.

Instruments are monitored to accurately determine the total time of use.

Further, at instrument shut down a series of questions may be asked to
remind users of correct shutdown procedures and to account for the use
of consumables supplied by the facility.
