• The Instrument Control and Monitor System enhances the administration of a research or analytical facility.  Any research instrument can be included in the control network.
• Users perform their own scheduling within parameters determined by the facility administrator.
• Individual passwords are used to assure scheduling accuracy.
• Instruments are monitored to accurately determine the total time of use.
• Further, at instrument shut down a series of questions may be asked to remind users of correct shutdown procedures and to account for the use of consumables supplied by the facility.
